Not even 24 hours after a locomotive and several rail cars fell off the tracks near Craven, Sask. a similar incident has occurred in the same area on Monday. At 1:30 p.m. Lumsden RCMP reported that Highway 20 was blocked in both directions due to the derailment. In an update just after 2 p.m., the highway was reopened. According to RCMP, no dangerous goods were spilled and no injuries have been reported. In a message to CTV News, CPKC reported that four loaded grain cars moving through a track yard in the area derailed early in the afternoon. The cars remained upright, and the Highway 20 crossing was blocked by the locomotive involved in the incident. Crews are continuing work to lift the derailed cars back onto the tracks. The incident is currently under investigation. The derailment follows a similar incident reported Sunday afternoon. The railway confirmed that a locomotive and four grain cars were involved. Highway 20 was blocked following that incident as well.
