Police in Moose Jaw have charged a 43-year-old man after a stabbing incident in the city on Sunday morning. According to a Moose Jaw police news release, officers responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence on the 1200 block of Stadacona Street West. When officers arrived, they located an individual with multiple stab wounds who was then transported to hospital. Police said the person’s condition is stable. The suspect, who police say knew the victim, had fled the scene before officers arrived but was apprehended at a residence on the 200 block of High Street East with the help of a canine unit. The accused has been charged with aggravated assault and break and enter with intent. Moose Jaw police said he made his first court appearance Monday morning and was then remanded in custody to the Regina Correctional Centre. Moose Jaw police continue to investigate.
