Police in Estevan have charged a 36-year-old man from Prince Albert with murder in connection to a homicide that left a 60-year-old man dead Saturday night. Officers were called to a home on the 1400 block of 1st Street around 8:45 p.m. for an assault in progress, an Estevan Police Service news release said. When they arrived, police located three men inside the residence and arrested two without incident. EMS transported the 60-year-old man to hospital where he died from his injuries a short time later. Police have charged 36-year-old Dennis Isbister with murder in connection with the incident. He remains in custody at this time, although police did not specify if the charge was first or second degree. Isbister will make his first court appearance in Estevan on May 12. Estevan police say the victim and accused knew each other, adding the victim’s family has been notified of his death. The victim’s name was not released. The second man who was taken into custody was cleared of any wrongdoing and released, police said.
