The Saskatchewan RCMP said Highway 39 was closed near Midale Thursday after a serious collision. According to an email from RCMP, the crash occurred about six kilometres south of Midale. Police didn’t say how many vehicles were involved, but said the highway would be closed for an undetermined amount of time. “Detours are in place and motorists should expect delays in the area. Please slow down and follow the instructions of emergency personnel on scene,” RCMP said in the email, encouraging people to check the Highway Hotline for road closure updates. Midale is about 160 kilometres southeast of Regina.
