The Canora RCMP are looking for tips in a months-long investigation of a collision between an someone driving an SUV and pedestrian. Officers received a report of the collision involving a pedestrian on 2 Avenue East in Canora, Sask. on July 14, 2024, around 6:20 p.m., according to a release from the Saskatchewan RCMP on Thursday. When officers and EMS responded, they found an injured man who was taken to hospital with ‘serious but non-life threatening’ injuries. According to RCMP, officers determined a fight took place between two men, one in an SUV and one on a bike, with the man on the bike struck and injured by the SUV. The man driving the SUV, a white 2015-2019 Nissan Rouge with a sunroof and roof rack, left the scene, RCMP said. Canora RCMP continue to investigate the incident and are now hoping to speak to potential witnesses of the incident. RCMP provided a photo of a white truck who may have been a witness and are asking them to call police at 310-RCMP. Anyone with information about the incident, or anyone who recognizes either the suspect or his vehicle, or the white truck of the possible witness is asked to contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers or their local RCMP. Canora, Sask. is about 50 kilometres north of Yorkton.
