Parts of east-central and southeastern Saskatchewan are now under a snowfall warning – with as much as 20 centimetres possible in some areas. Both Yorkton and Melville are included in the warning, with the snow expected to begin early Tuesday morning, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC). The warning stretches as far south as the Kenosee Lake area and as far north as east of Kelvington, according to ECCC on Monday afternoon. Portions of western Manitoba are also under the same warning. Snow is expected to intensify throughout the day Tuesday before tapering off Wednesday morning, ECCC said on its website. The greatest accumulations are expected to be over higher terrains. ECCC is warning residents in the affected areas to prepare for changing and deteriorating travel conditions, saying that visibility may be reduced at times.
