Regina’s Police Service (RPS) is investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle early Wednesday evening. Police officers were called to an alley on the 2300 block of Scarth Street just after 5 p.m. Wednesday for a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. When officers arrived, an elderly man was lying on the ground, suffering from significant injuries. The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries, according to police. Investigators say it appears the driver was backing out of a parking lot stall when they struck the pedestrian. The investigation is ongoing.
