The Saskatchewan RCMP is asking residents in the province’s east to be on the lookout for a Manitoba murder suspect. Frank La Forge, 52, is wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder in connection to the shooting death of a 33-year-old woman on Keeseekoowenin First Nation on July 28. A 26-year-old man was also transported by STARS to hospital with serious injuries. He has since been released. RCMP determined that the shooting was targeted, and that there is no danger or threat to the public. La Forge is described as five foot, eight inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with brown eyes and a bald head. “The suspect should not be approached, and if seen people are asked to call 9-1-1,” Manitoba RCMP said in a news release. The police service believes he is in the Yellowhead area of Manitoba and has connections to the Kamsack and Yorkton areas as well. Anyone with information on La Forge’s whereabouts are asked to call the Wasagaming RCMP detachment or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers. Keeseekoowenin First Nation is located around 100 kilometres north of Brandon, Man.
