A 30-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after an early morning collision at Ring Road and Argyle Street North on Friday. Officers first responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision around 5:30 a.m., with investigation determining that one vehicle had rear-ended another vehicle, forcing it over a raised boulevard and into a retaining wall on the overpass. According to the Regina Police Service (RPS), the suspect then drove southbound and through a chain-link fence in the 400 block of Argyle Street North. The man was taken to hospital by EMS with minor injuries, while the victim was assessed on scene by EMS and released, RPS said. There were no passengers in either vehicle, according to police. According to an advisory sent by police just after 7:30 a.m., traffic was shut down both northbound and southbound on the Argyle Street North bridge. A section of Argyle Street North has since re-opened following investigation into the collision.
