One person is dead following an SUV collided with a pedestrian and parked truck along Highway 49 near Kelvington, Sask. on Monday. Rose Valley RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision about five kilometres east of Kelvington around 6 p.m., according to a news release from Saskatchewan RCMP. EMS and local fire crews responded with officers, where it was determined that an SUV collided with a parked truck and a pedestrian on the side of the highway, RCMP said. The pedestrian, a 59-year-old man from Lintlaw, Sask. was declared dead on the scene. The female passenger of the truck reported no physical injuries. The driver of the SUV reported no physical injuries but was taken to hospital for assessment, RCMP said. A Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist and Rise Valley RCMP continue to investigate the collision. Kelvington, Sask. is about 251 kilometres northeast of Regina.
