The Regina Police Service (RPS) says two officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries after their vehicles collided Thursday morning. Both of the vehicles were marked police cruisers, an RPS news release said. The collision occurred shortly after 9 a.m. at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and Royal Street. “The collision will be investigated like any other two-vehicle collision,” RPS said in the release. “Due to the involvement of police vehicles, the investigation is subject to review by a supervisor and then further scrutiny by the Regina Police Service Collision Review Board.” The release said that EMS and other police officers assisted the two members involved in the collision.
