A high traffic area in north Regina was host to police and firefighters Sunday afternoon. Just prior to 1 p.m., Regina police reported that the north off-ramp at Ring Road and Albert Street North was closed – as an operation was underway. Police did not elaborate on the nature of the operation – only noting that both officers and members of Regina Fire and Protective Services were involved. In an update issued just after 3 p.m., police revealed that the operation had concluded and that all related road closures had ended. No injuries were reported at the scene. A police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
