Ottawa and Saskatoon police are looking for potential victims of human trafficking in Saskatchewan as part of an ongoing investigation. Police believe 27-year-old Anthony Badibanga-Mukendi, from Ottawa, was actively involved in human trafficking in Saskatchewan and spent time in Saskatoon. According to police, Badibanga-Mukendi has traveled across Canada and has been involved in human trafficking for several years. Over 50 charges have been laid in connection with the investigation, which began in March, and police are now appealing to the public for help in identifying more victims. Badibanga-Mukendi is alleged to have used multiple aliases, including Marty, Anton, Tony, Jay, Tighten Tones, and Tones. Anyone with information about potential human trafficking incidents involving Badibanga-Mukendi is urged to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or the Ottawa Police Service human trafficking units. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers. The investigation involves offenses dating back several years, Ottawa police charged Badibanga-Mukendi with human trafficking and other related offenses the week of March 20.
