Four people, including two teenagers, are facing charges following an assault that took place in Regina over the weekend. Officers were called to the Regina General Hospital at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday for a report that a man was suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to a release from the Regina Police Service (RPS). Investigation into the incident led police to a residence in the 1800 block of Ottawa Street. Police, including a SWAT team, surrounded the home and asked everyone to leave, police said. Several people came out of the home, with four taken into custody and charged, according to RPS. A search warrant revealed an expandable baton, a firearm, a taser, a large knife, a machete, ammunition, and a magazine. A 14-year-old youth is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and failure to comply with conditions of a release order. A 17-year-old youth is charged with assault causing bodily harm and failure to comply with disposition. A 29-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon, while a 19-year-old man is charged with aggravated assault and obstruction. RPS says all four made their first appearance in Regina provincial court on Monday morning.
