One person is facing a total of 28 charges following 10 shoplifting incidents at four businesses in Regina’s east end. According to the Regina Police Service (RPS), the incidents occurred between July 9 and Aug. 12 at two businesses in the 2100 block of Prince of Wales Drive and two businesses in the 2000 block of Prince of Wales Drive. Police said the suspect threatened a loss prevention officer with a knife in one instance and threatened three loss prevention officers with bear spray in another. Following investigation, RPS charged a 31-year-old man with robbery, three counts of assault with a weapon, 11 counts of theft under $5,000, and 13 counts of failure to comply. He made his first court appearance in Regina on Aug. 15.
