Investigation is underway after an inmate died at the Regina Correctional Centre on Thursday. The province says a 39-year-old inmate was found unresponsive on a living unit around 11:04 a.m. Staff initiated life saving measures and called EMS, who declared the man dead at 11:25 a.m. The Saskatchewan Coroners Service and the RCMP are investigating, with the Ministry of Collections, Policing, and Public Safety set to conduct an internal investigation. No foul play is suspected, and the man’s next of kin have been notified, the province said.
