Wynyard RCMP have charged two people after a box of poppies and donations was stolen from a business in the community. On Nov. 10, 2025, Wynyard RCMP received a report of a theft at a business in the community. An investigation found that two people had stolen the box, which contained a small amount of cash, from the front counter of the business. RCMP continued to investigate, resulting in the arrest of a woman in Watson on Jan. 10. Later, on Feb. 4, officers arrested a man in Watson. Both the 42-year-old woman and 34-year-old man are charged with one count of theft under $5,000. They are scheduled to appear in Wynyard Provincial Court on Feb. 26. Wynyard is located approximately 170 kilometres north of Regina.
