Four people are facing criminal charges after a three-month long investigation into a robbery in central Regina. On Jan. 26, police were dispatched to a home on the 2300 block of Robinson Street after a caller reported that an injured man had arrived at her home suffering from stab wounds. Officers and paramedics responded and found the victim, a 50-year-old man, suffering from serious injuries. An investigation revealed the victim was at his home with a woman who was known to him. Two men broke into the home, stabbed the victim and assaulted him with bear spray before stealing “undisclosed items” and fleeing. The woman, who was initially inside the home with the victim, also fled the scene along with another woman who was waiting outside the home. Since late January, Regina police have arrested a total of four people in relation to the incident. They include two women and a man, aged 22, 33 and 37, from Regina along with a man, aged 30, from Churchbridge, Sask. All four of the accused face one count of robbery. Additionally, the 22-year-old woman faces a count of breaking and entering, while the man from Churchbridge is also charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
