A Saskatchewan man is facing several charges after a missing youth was found injured inside a locked bathroom at a North Battleford motel. Battlefords RCMP received a report of a missing female teenager on April 25 at 6 p.m., according to an update from Saskatchewan RCMP on Tuesday. Initial investigation led officers to a motel room in North Battleford, where a man was found. When officers searched the room, they found the missing teen in a locked bathroom suffering from serious injuries. A 22-year-old man from Turtleford is facing a total of eight charges, including sexual assault, abduction of a person under 16, sexual interference, assault, obstructing justice, uttering threats, and two counts of forcible confinement. He is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on May 22. RCMP say they are not providing additional information to be mindful of the victim’s privacy.
