Mounties are investigating a reported shooting in Melfort that left two men injured.

RCMP say the shooting took place at around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, during an altercation between a group of individuals on 1 Ave South.

At one point, a gun was fired, landing both men in hospital. One man’s injuries were described as serious while the other’s were described as non-life-threatening, according to RCMP.

Melfort RCMP are asking those with information about the incident, or who witnessed any suspicious activity around the time of the shooting to contact them or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
