A 36-year-old Regina man has been charged with first-degree murder stemming from a death investigation this week. Shortly after midnight Thursday morning police and EMS were sent to a residence on the 400 block of East College Avenue for the report of an injured man. When crews arrived, they attempted life-saving measures on the man, but EMS pronounced him dead at the scene, a Regina police news release said. Regina police identified the victim as 42-year-old Christopher Seaton from Regina. The 36-year-old suspect, James Dubois, was arrested in Davidson, Sask. on Thursday by Regina Police Service Patrol, SWAT and Canine Units with the help of RCMP and Regina police’s Areial Support Unit. The accused will make hist first court appearance Friday morning, Regina police said. Anyone with more information regarding the investigation is asked to call Regina police or Crime Stoppers. The death marks Regina’s second homicide of 2025.
